why are my photos adjusting by themselves

what am i missing?  not only does it take 20+ clicks to adjust a photo, now they are adjusting/resizing on their own?!? 
i am trying to go in and fix my photos so they fit - again... but they won't save.  bits are now cropped off.  super frustrating.  why are they resizing on their own?

Same here! It happened to me a few weeks ago and now it is happening again. Etsy customer service can't help nor explain.

In search they still appear rectangle.  How in the world do we adjust so the photos look their best in search and our shop if they are not the same?
