shop dashboard - sound from a video

Hello all,

Was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a weird issue while on the shop dashboard: i get the sound from a video that is not within sight at all and starts with "this holiday season buyers want to feel good about who they support..."(female voice).

I thought I had some other tab open but this is not the case. I restarted Chrome, I have 1 and only tab open, yet I keep getting this audio.

The only workaround so far was to mute the tab but I am wondering what causes this.

Thoughts?

@SweetShyMeow  Giving you a Bump. I have no idea why you would hear sound from a video when you are in your Shop Dashboard, sorry about that. Did you try rebooting? In the meantime, I hope others will jump in.

I think i figured it out and posting the solution should other encounter it: my shop is fairly new and on my dashboard there is(was) an iframe containing tips to bring in more customers etc. I closed that and asked never to be reminded again and the sound went away.

Worth to mention, in this frame, there was no visible video playing, so it may be still a bug of sorts.

Yes, it is good to mention this. I have never experienced anything like what you're describing.

Not sure if this applies but I noticed that the Desktop installation of TikTok sometimes plays audio in the background when I use Chrome.. even though they're separate applications.  Obviously, I just keep TikTok closed when I'm not using it now..
