shipping labels

a lady placed an order for two items. right now i'm trying to buy a shipping label for this order. for some reason, etsy wants me to purchase a label for each of these two items. a separate label for each item in a multi-item order.

why? what is happening?

i can't. there's an option to x out the entire order but not each item. i also tried to put different weights on each (1 oz and 1 oz) to see if they'd combine them in that case but nope, they want me to purchase two labels for 3.95 each. i've not had this happen before.

Is your box or packaging large enough for both items? I don't use calculated shipping but that happens sometimes. I think on the label making page there is a very small x that you cancel one of the labels. If you only print one label for both items package, be sure and click on the three dots under the mail truck and add the tracking number.

the packaging is definitely big enough for both items, but maybe etsy doesn't recognize that as such. not sure...

coming back to say there doesn't seem to be a little x on either of the items on the labels page and it won't allow me to purchase only one. it's adding the two shipping rates together and giving me one label with the combined rate. normally i'm able to change the weight on a multi-item order on the label page. for some reason this is no longer an option.

The x to cancel one of the labels, is very easy to not see it from what I have heard. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I haven't seen an. X. For years to delete the label.  Maybe some see that in different browsers?

@miribridal  click the mail truck icon - in that center info section, in the top right is "delete label" - that only shows when there is more than one.  Adjust the weight and dimensions for the combined package,

OP's shop might be gone, but the problem is still there. I have no problem with 1 order has 1 item, but when 1 order has 2 items, ETSY system won't let me generate shipping label.

@TiffanyArtCanada: Then you might want to start a new thread with details in case a moderator shuts this one down as an old thread.

@TiffanyArtCanada   If you are using calculated shipping, you need to have a box big enough to hold both in the package preference area.  If it is giving you two labels then you don't have a box big enough in CS for it to put both in one package.
