How to Handle Scams and Suspicious Messages
Authentic messages from Etsy always appear in a From Etsy inbox and are clearly labeled "From Etsy" below the subject line. If someone claims to be an Etsy employee and the message is not located in the From Etsy folder, mark the message as spam and don't reply.
Yes, it's a SCAM!
Do a forum search and you will find hundreds of threads about the scams going around. Do not respond to it and never give information to an email that you wouldn’t give to a total stranger.

Yes, it's a scam. As stated above, if it is not in the "from etsy" section of your inbox, it's FAKE.
And the stilted language (and double negative) is another dead giveaway.

oh that was not me.
that was my cats.
they had the zoomies.
"you are conducting strange activity." Is this not a dead giveaway?
about as unnecessary as your tone.
@HolyCowVintageStore Etsy won’t ask for your email address. They already have it.
If a message is legitimately from Etsy it will not only appear in your Inbox, but also in the “From Etsy” folder/section under messages. If a message isn’t in the “From Etsy” folder, then it isn’t from Etsy,
doubts that you are not the real owner
I love this part.
