really old convos

This past week I have received responses to messages I sent customers years ago, 2019 and 2015, both sounding as if they were just received. I was just wondering if there is a bug with current messages too.

@KnotOriginal: Since Etsy is now (usually) attaching new messages to existing threads, are you sure that there was not a new recent message?  You might also want to look at https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/2016-convo-showing-as-new-message/m-p/140565041#M7462...

@BagmakerSupply The responses from my customers are new, but they were responding to messages sent years ago as if they just received them. They are not part of an ongoing chain with new purchases/messages/responses added over time. Each time this has happened it was a single order/message, not a repeat customer that would have old threads attaching to new. That link you sent looks like the op has experienced the same issue as me and the admin who answered with a "solution" clearly doesn't understand what the op is saying. Thank you though.

Sometimes when Etsy does some updating a sort of odd cascade happens pulling old information.  See if cleaning out cache and cookies will help.
