It started when my orders started to show up as complete as soon as I got them. This happened out of nowhere, I didn't change any settings.
My item is a made to order digital download so I upload the file once it's finished and then mark the order as complete myself.
I thought this was strange so I tried changing my settings for the listing to be a direct download, saved it, then changed it back to made to order. Didn't work. In my settings the listing is made to order but the listing page shows it as a direct download. I have no idea how that is possible. I have also tried changing it from a physical item back to a digital item and the problem still occurs.
This is incredibly annoying because I can't send these customers their item because it is already listed as complete. My only option is to send it to them through a link in the chat and even if they download that and want to leave a positive review, they can't do that until they download whatever file it is that is connected to this "direct download". I am assuming that it's a file I used to have listed.
I have contacted Etsy support about this, waited for hours and got no response. The message wasn't even seen.
I'm a new seller but the amount of issues I have already had that are hindering me from managing my listing is truly insane. There have been multiple occasions where the Etsy website couldn't be reached and where I couldn't save any changes to my listing at all. It is ridiculous to be honest and I do not want to have to explain these issues to every customer. It is not their problem either.
Please help.
