I just got a request from a customer to wait a few days to ship their item so they can add to their order. The order was due today, so I went to reschedule the ship date and the new "improved" order details are a total mess. I can't find a way to reschedule the ship date within the new format- am I missing something or did Etsy remove the option entirely?!
Oh, very strange! It seems to only be missing for this order. My other orders all have the option available. Must be a glitchy rollout with the new order details layout. As long as it's a one-off glitch it's not a big deal. Thanks for checking everyone!
I only have one open order and got that pop-up, but I'm still seeing the 3 dots on the right-hand side of the screen with the option to update the ship-by date.
My understanding is that you could never change the ship-by once it was the date needed to ship by, you always had to do it by the day before.
That is no longer correct.
You can change the ship date on the day of shipping.
darn, I don't have an open order to check for you.
I hope someone else can find it!
On my desktop, if you click on the individual order, to the right of the "get shipping labels" and "update progress" grayed out buttons, there are 3 little dots. Click on the dots and you can update the ship by date there.
On my phone using the seller app, same thing - 3 black dots on top right of screen's order page give you the option to change the date.

You have to change it before the scheduled date of dispatch. You can’t change it on the actual day of, or the day after etc.
@MaynardMillinery That's not true. I've rescheduled the ship date on the due date many times, and all of my other orders due today had the option to reschedule. This was seemingly just a random glitch on one lone order.
It also takes longer to see the customers address and delivery, having to click on the delivery info tab rather than it just being on the same page. Great "improvement" /s
Agreed - always have to wonder what "thought" process prompted someone to think that more clicks to accomplish the same thing is an improvement. Add a tab for Earnings if you must but why also destroy a perfectly serviceable layout at the same time.
Yes, I don't like the new layout. We don't need to see Etsy's Purchase Protection program every time we have a sale, especially with its large blue background. It's an eye sore!
Also, the delivery info does not need its own tab. It should just be in the Order Details page. It doesn't make any sense to have to click another tab just to see the customer' s address.
Usually when Etsy changes something like this, it is to facilitate future changes. E.g., the listing page.
This may have to do with some of the shipping changes Silverman has talked about.
Also, they of course want to make it harder to find the buyers full address because they want to make it easier for you to decide to use Etsy Labels or one of their integration partners, instead of copying and pasting the buyer address somewhere else like Pirate Ship. You know Etsy's motto - "we'll do anything for a few more pennies from our sellers".
If something isn't broken then don't fix it.
In spite of getting the New Improvements pop up everything looks the same to me. Ship by Date is still under the three dots. I see the buyer's address the same as ever. I still have the down arrow and then Address Copied. Don't know what else has been mentioned but nothing has changed for me.
For me the orders page pretty much looks the same. The main thing I saw is that if I click on the order to open it up, there are now tabs on the top of the page that I don't think were there before.
Order details / Delivery Info / Earnings
That's really the only thing I'm seeing that's different.
will look again. brb
ok. I rarely actually open the whole order and I see that. Been a little slow couple of days so I will have to ship this order to see where the tracking info goes. As for that earnings tab, they already tell you when you list something what your profit is. They still won't be able to account for our costs so that will still be pretty much useless.
I opened up one of my older orders and the tracking was there. It was nothing special, just said the order was delivered on the 13th.
I don't find anything in this update particularly exciting or intuitive, and I highly doubt besides trying to figure out what they changed, I won't click on those tabs again.
back again. I shipped orders yesterday and sure enough the tracking is under the new Delivery tab. Does anybody remember when we could ship orders right from our dashboard? Then they made it a whole new page. Everything etsy does involves more clicks.
When did we get a new format?
yesterday.
This update is totally unnecessary. Why change something which is not broken. Please Etsy, move the information back to the same page. If this is to make us buy your labels, it's a petty move. I cannot use your labels as I'm POD shop.
Exactly! And the large blue colored banner at the top of each order page telling us about Etsy’s Purchase Protection program is not necessary. It is an eyesore and just causes you have to scroll down the page further to see what was ordered.
I can't stand having the Delivery Info on a separate tab. All it does is create more clicking back and forth between sections because I need to see the Orders Details at the same time. /facepalm
I might be a little contrarian here. I REALLY like the idea of getting a breakdown of "Earnings"...
"...Coming soon: Get a breakdown of your earnings. We know it can be tricky to figure out what you earned from each order after fees and costs. That’s why we’re working on a new feature that will show you a breakdown of your costs and earnings on Etsy in one convenient view. Stay tuned!..."
I think it would/could help a lot of sellers with pricing profitably.
But I would agree, do it (add it) with least amount of scrolling and clicking as possible.
