I'm an author who recently set up a shop to streamline my process for selling signed paperbacks of my books. I got in a shipment today and went into my Etsy listings to update my inventory counts. Now one of my listings says "Sorry, this item is unavailable in your region" when I click on it. I asked one of my friends to test it and he got the same message. I even tried making a new listing for that book, figuring I'd just eat the fee, but I'm still getting the same message. My other books/listings are fine.
I'm in the USA, and I'm pretty sure my shipping information is set up correctly. I've only had one sale so far since I just opened, but it was actually for this book/listing. I did try searching the forums, but all I saw were issues about live plants and knives? How can I fix this?
Hello,
Thanks for your reports here. We recently identified an issue where some shops saw their listings removed from view. Since you wrote to us, we’ve been able to identify and resolve this issue. The impacted listings should be visible in your shop again, but if you need further help, please contact Etsy Support. We sincerely apologise for this issue.
I just saw a new post with the same issue. Maybe it's a glitch
Your issue is the 4th one I've seen in the past 3 hours - 3 OPs and one seller who nested in an older thread. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of these soon.
I am having the same issue on 13 out of 19 of my body chain listings out of nowhere today. So frustrating! I have opened a support ticket hoping they can fix the issue asap.
They are super slow to respond. It is so frustrating. I also contacted chat support and they will escalate. I will receive an email days from now. Promo will have ended and this issue will not be resolved. I can only try to add a new listing and keep the old one in case they can fix this. I will loose my reviews associated with these items. What a mess
I'm in the UK and I can't see the 'Train Hard, Rest Harder' listing either. I can see the thumbnail, but I get the region error message when I click on it.
I posted this in another Thread where Sellers were having the same trouble. Maybe it will be helpful; hope so.
______________
(I don't know if this will be helpful to those having trouble, but I hope it will). When I first started on Etsy, I received this Message on a listing (or a couple, can't remember). Back then, Admin used to be pretty active in the Tech. Issues Section of the Forum. There was an Admin; can't remember his name; Greg? (not Matt the cowboy:) Anyway, he told me to Deactivate the listing for about 5 minutes, then Reactivate it. And it worked. I no longer had that Message.
So it couldn't hurt to try it if you want to in the meantime.
I've tried it a couple times since last night and no luck. Thanks, though!
I did reactive for just a bit. I will try to deactivate for longer. Thanks
Yes it worked. I deactivated for a few minutes and reactivated. Thanks so much
I did deactivate and re-activate. I waited 5 minutes and it worked for just a few minutes and now the same message appears: Unavailable in your region?
@TheaLandenBooks Sorry it didn't work for you.
@FashionDollPhotos Oh boy, it has to be a glitch. I was happy to first see it worked for you, but it didn't last long, and you now have that message again. Sorry about that.
Not sure if this is new or not but something I've never seen before...When I search for an item on the desktop I notice a lot of listings are only showing the keywords I searched for, when I click the listing it shows the full title that the owner put in their listings, maybe they're rolling out new code and they're experiencing a glitch or code break, and causing out listings to be restricted.
Example:

@KookiStudios It sounds like this problem that has been going on for a few weeks.

I'm starting to think it's some kind of "soft block" - as opposed to deactivation or de-indexing - maybe a new bot program that's looking for nudity - that seems to be a common theme in the unavailable items I've seen so far.
Possibly why my miniature cloth doll patterns are unavailable for a buyer's location. They are to make blank mannequins without clothes. Instant downloads, so not a shipping to certain countries problem.
Ugh, reading the other replies, this looks likely. Maybe I should put a sticker on the cover model's chest and see if that solves anything.
I have no nudes? Movie date just has the swimsuits in a poster behind the dolls? I think Etsy should not execute these types of blocks without testing first. Also it would be a good idea to NOT try this when there is a promo going on. I do not know how they will make this right for us. What a mess and a huge amount of work to add new listings
I deactivated and re-actived my listing and it worked for now.
My doll clothes patterns are not being flagged, only the doll bodies, so it is definitely the nudity triggering this in my shop. My dolls are smooth bodies, not at all to be confused with real people anatomy.
Same problem.....I had a chat open for an hour and they referred me to their Safety people cause somehow I have violated their safe practices, although I have sold three items exactly like the ones they have now 'blocked'...waiting on an email from them....frustrating to say the least...the listings with the unavailable message are the half of my listings for art photos with partial nudity from 1920's Ziegfeld girls, tastefully done art photography of that era...I have read their policies and these do not violate any of their policies on nudity....
It is a BOT issue and so many of us are affected. Check out my movie date listing it has a swimsuit in the poster behind Barbie & Ken. My Pink Powder room, Movie Date & Tropical vacation were all affected
I deactivated for a few minutes and reactivated and it fixed my listings. Give it a go and see of it works for you.
This is a huge issue right now. My affected listings all have swimsuits or lingerie Barbie images. I cannot imagine what is it, but it is a BOT and Etsy is very slow to respond. I would wait until the issue is resolved. I deleted one of my listings and added it as a new listing, but I loose the reviews associated with that listing. So frustrating.
Update: It's definitely the new nudity bot. I took a brand-new picture to use for the thumbnail, making sure zero body parts were visible, and it's working now. Ugh.
Fingers crossed my other listings don't get hit!
