I saw that my on-time shipping percentage slipped, and I think it's because for an order for which I entered tracking manually (combining two orders into one package), the data set (seen in CSV file) has a typo in the order # (not the tracking #). Two digits are flipped. Order was placed Nov 3rd. Can this be fixed?
Thanks!
@VerdantViolet: There is a three day window during which you can edit the tracking number on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. If the tracking number is correct, usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status.
Order numbers are automatically generated. You don’t enter them.
Well, if that's happening, it would explain a lot of the orders not showing as tracked lately, even when purchasing Etsy labels.
There really shouldn't be errors in order numbers, though, as they'd be taken directly from your actual orders.
Thanks for your responses. I made a mistake and actually it’s not a typo in the order# ( I agree, that didn’t make sense unless they are entered manually by Etsy and that seems unlikely), it’s just that I did manually enter a tracking number well before the ship-by date, and it shows the tracking # on the order page, but for some reason the data file says no tracking was added. Will it show up eventually? And how likely is it that this will affect my items showing high up in searches? I’ve done the manual tracking # before and it wasn’t a problem. Thanks again and sorry for my mistake.

Thank you! This is good to know. It’s been updated.
