Your name on Etsy and your social security card have to be an exact match, not just your bank account.
A while ago when they were requesting Tax ID information, I realized that my actual SS Card had a middle initial. My account with Etsy was just my first and last name. Then I had to click on Individual. It went through.
I had the same--both my bank account and SSN have my middle initial , my Etsy shop did not. After I added my middle initial to my Etsy shop all went thru smoothly
