public profile?

When I first started my etsy account my name as my public profile was selected,  however now I do not want that same name to be shown to all my customers. is there any way to change or get rid of that? It seems no matter the store- your public profile isnt editable.  ?

update--  i was able to change it- however the web browser still has my name up there/

yes, i do.. i have over 1,000 sales since 2014 but ive had it on vacation for about a year.  I want to reopen it (publish it)  but I don't want it to show my name on my public profile.  is it not possible to not have it show your name in the url area?

What is the name of the shop you have a question about?  Because the name eriksayenga does not have a shop attached to it on vacation or otherwise.

@eriksayenga It looks like you have two accounts, the account that you are posting from has no shop attached to it.  Even if your shop is on vacation, the link to it should be shown when we click on your name here in the forums.

@eriksayenga  Even if you shop is on vacation mode it would still show - you either have 2 Etsy accounts or your shop is closed and not on vacation mode.

No it's definitely on vacation mode, trust me.   I guess im just confused because that name is the one that does link to my shop.  Im in the process of changing the name of the shop- so its on vacay.. - but even before this-  a customer could look at my public profile from my store-- then at the top it would show my name... my original name--not my store name- the original name i set my account up from, then after I opened my store.. this was over 10 years ago though.    So, I cant seem to get it to change at the url area   even though ive changed my username in etsy (not shop name, profile name).

@eriksayenga  you could not have possible changed your username. Etsy does not allow it. Post a link to your shop please.

yes under public profile I was able to put my partners name== however the url on there still shows mine-  and I guess theres just no way of changing it.  I cant post my shop link because it is on vacation-  it is unpublished because its been inactive over a year.

so-- youre looking at my shop--  on the right is the picture and says derek singer-  so, when you click that it says derek singer... BUT the url saus people/  then my name- THAT is what I want changed..

If thats the case-- why does in shop manager it say Shop on vacation..  I can still see all my listings. Im just not ready to open.. well even if it is closed-  how can I change that name? Thanks for your assistance btw

Your shop is closed so unless you reopen it, you can't make any changes at all.
