I am also having trouble uploading and editing photos.  I have contacted etsy support many times.  Also I cannot get a response with the chat.  I am ready to close up shop.  I do not like having my time wasted.  Too much trouble!

Make sure you using a browser and not the app

I only started having this problem. It takes a long time to upload a photo.  When I try to edit I get the red box . When I try to contact support I get no response.  i am ready to quit Etsy.  I am using a computer with safari.  I am not much of a tech fan and don't understand all that stuff.  thanks for the advice anyway

Can you be more specific about the problem. Uploading and editing photos covers a lot.

Are you using the phone app or a computer? 

Have you tried editing your photos with a photo editor prior to uploading them to Etsy? There are lots of free photo editors available.

Raw photos can be huge and a lot to do via an app ... might be easier to edit before uploading.
