I regular am contacted by so called buyers. Did want an item, but they need my email address for some odd reason.
to the given email they send a link asking your credit card data ...so be warned this is fraud .
Yes, it's a known SCAM
This particular scam/phishing has been going on for a few months at least now on Etsy, but it is mostly new sellers they are targeting. Make sure to mark the message as spam, and if you wish to, report the users to Etsy via Etsy help.
