I have three shops on Etsy.
Since last fall I have had trouble with password access. One day my passwords didn't work. Changing them didn't help because the new passwords didn't work either. I found I that I could access single sign in links if I persevered and so it went.
I tried contacting Etsy support several times, actually got someone on a chat line many months ago who was able to provide me with ... a sign in link - at which point the Etsy support melted away.
I maintained access to two of my busiest shops by never closing them - but alas, my busiest one has become unavailable to me today and so I am down to one. I am afraid to sign out from this last shop to try to access my busiest shop, as I'm not sure how I would even communicate with Etsy - or this forum in the event that I lost this last link.
What to do? I confess I have little technical aptitude - though I did manage to maintain my "star seller" status throughout this ordeal. I love my shops and my customers. I have put enormous effort into making interesting spaces which would serve as an asset to the Etsy community.
It startles me that Etsy support has been apparently unreachable. I have written many messages through the channels we are given - but the messages are all unanswered.
What to do? How does one even close a shop when access to it is impossible?
This is a crushing disappointment. I opened the shops in 2015.
It's possible that I'm an idiot of course and the solution is a simple one.
Any thoughts?
@MATEREALITY : Use a different browser for each store and then you can login / stay logged in with no conflicts.
It's possible that your browser has updated itself with some security features that could be causing problems, or perhaps you've installed browser extensions or plug-ins that are interfering, or an antivirus software could be blocking something making login harder.
These can be difficult to troubleshoot if you're not sure what you're looking for, but trying to sign in using a different browser might help.
I have two shops and I use Firefox to sign into one, and I use Chrome to sign into the other.
I use microsoft edge on one shop, and chrome on another,
try logging into one of your shops, from a browser you have not used before,
you probably have some sort of problems with your browser/virus protection/extensions etc,
also, clear the browser, and disable any extensions
