why does it say on my etsy dashboard that i have 1 order but in states it says i have 0

Is there a '1' next to your Dashboard > Orders & Shipping section?  Or did you receive a message from someone telling you that you sold something but you have to supply some financial information to them in order for it to be completed?

You have no orders, when you get one, you will get a notification by email from Etsy and it will show in your shopfront and on the orders page.  If you have had a message saying they can't complete the order without additional financial info from you, that is a SCAM and you should ignore it and move it to the spam folder.   If it isn't showing in your Dashboard, there is no order. Scammers tend to target new sellers precisely because they are new and not used to how things work on Etsy yet.  Never give financial details in a message.
