losing inventory in square after syncing with etsy

Every time I sync etsy to my square website i lose all of my stock numbers in square and have to manually enter them all again. This is so time consuming. Has anyone else had this problem?

I do too. We just switched our website from Wix to Square Online to have an easiest flow between all our sales channels (online & markets) and an easier way to keep track of stock. Well.... We're bummed. Everything gets synced really well, except for the stock!

If I manually & individually input stock in each listing (super hassle) in square, any new Etsy sync deletes everything and I have to start from scratch. 

I spent 1 hour on the phone with Square and they had no clue. I deleted everything, re-synced and same results.

Its super frustrating, it has made it easier rather than harder. I thought of clearing my Square website and sync from etsy but it that doesn’t work then i really am back at the beginning

Hey guys. I'm having the same issue. I even lose photos or see duplicate photos after syncing my Etsy with Square. It is so time consuming to manually enter all inventory. I'm so frustrated. Anyone have luck yet?

Not yet. Even etsy couldnt help me. I wonder if all information has to be exact on both sites

I do some local shows in the Fall, mainly Cider Mills. I use Square and never sync my Shop with it.  Any items I take to the shows, I Deactivate.  If they don't sell, I Reactivate them when I come back.

No resolution either.

I had an email conversation with Etsy techs to try to fix the problem but they just asked me to make sure Chrome was updated (it wasn't), to clear cache and cookies, and to remove any extension I may have.

I did all this and nothing changed. Same issue after resyncing: no stock

They asked for a screenshot of the errors, and then asked me to wait 24 hours before reaching to them again, to see if stock was now showing. It isn't. 

I will.follow up with them just in case but I'm not very hopeful.

If nothing changes, I'll probably deactivate the sync. It was useful to get all my listings uploaded on square I guess but for now, I don't think it'll be a useful tool to track inventory.

They werent helpful to me either, i deactivated the sync. Plus i found out if you sell on square, etsy take their fees out as well

I see this is a 2-year old post, maybe I should start a new message thread? But it is my problem exactly, as a new Etsy and Square user - stock count on Square resets to zero on every sync from Etsy.  Has anyone seena solution to this? I have posted a support request to Etsy, I'll copy any resolution here. Thanks
