I am now unable to list any new items in my etsy shop as the core details section is frozen so I can't post new listings it has been happening last week in December to now early January. Does anyone have any idea why and what am I doing wrong.
I found that the only thing that’s working for me is not on an iPhone but an android phone pressing this top site or using a computer but when I use desktop site with my android phone through Chrome or DuckDuckGo, it works no problem but it working no matter what I do I can’t seem to get the desktop site to be The correct size in order for it to give me all the information to click to continue onto the next step. I’m gonna try to reach out with all the screenshots and information. I’ve also contacted Chrome and DuckDuckGo to see if maybe there’s something on there and they can do to fix it as well , wishing everybody good luck with this
Oh my gosh ….still a problem I see! I had the same problem last week! Was so upset! I mainly use an iPad I have for years with no problems. Someone posted if you turn your iPad vertical up and down, in a Portrait Format it works. I tried it and it does work! Amen, Hallelujah!!! Not sure how many of you use an iPad? It shows all 3 questions in that core section on one page. They must have changed the format or something? So try that if you do use an iPad.
I was able to post a new item, going through the back door, I call it, before someone mentioned turning my iPad, by using a deactivated item. That worked. If you use a live item it changes it, did for me and that didn’t work for me. Oh what a mess! How do you fix it on a laptop or Desktop? That I have no idea? I hope they fix this soon! I tried reaching a live body got no where….
The way to do it on a desktop if it’s not already in desktop site mode you would go to the three dots on your right hand side and that will give you a list of stuff like new tab, bookmarks, favorites, settings, and such and you’ll also see where it says desktop site you click that or you go into settings on your browser, and if not, On the list of stuff, it should be in the settings and there you can actually have your settings where you click it for Desktops site I believe with DuckDuckGo you have to actually go into their settings to have the desktop site set up so I wish you all the best of luck with this. Hopefully, we get Etsy to get this fixed soon.
Any way to shut off that darn irritating App Spam? It invades my page everywhere, and I don't need or want it on my iPad or my smartphone, and there’s a ghost that slides in from the side left over from when I was trying to set up a new listing, which is what brought me here. It’s ridiculous… giant text with Listing at the top and it slides off after awhile, but my iPad can’t seem to rid me of it.
There’s a point at which Etsy seems to feel the need for info that most buyersdon’t read anyhow, which is why I suggested they STuff it, and I still say so unnecessary to put us thru all this inconvenience for something buyers don’t read, and Etsy probably doesn’t use anyhow. It was far simpler before, but it always is, it has to be more complicated for Etsy…. Grrrrrrrr
Would someone tell me where the “craft type” is on the listing edit page? I can’t post a new custom order listing without it and I cannot find a place for it.
Whatever happened to keeping the custom private listing process simple? And why does it need a craft type or category since the private listing is not to be included in any search anyhow?!
Etsy, you’re making it difficult, if not impossible to create new listings, consequently I won’t bother anymore. I’m far too busy to muck around trying to figure out a process that was once simple and efficient, but has now become a chore! No more…and if I have to I’ll create a workaround for my customers.
Has anyone found a solution ? I've got the same problem (Can't post or modify anything) for months, with an error code in red most of the time. Etsy help center does nothing to solve this huge issue.
The only solution found has been to use the "copy" function which, of course, doesn't work if it's a new product.
I have 3 things so far that I can't list because of the "core" details. This problem is more than 2 months old - you would think that Etsy could fix this.
We all knew this "new listing" form was problematic from the beginning and that Etsy was again "fixing" what didn't need to be "fixed".
Maybe Elon should come to Etsy and fire all the help that keeps changing things that don't need changing...lol
