Typically the new app has worked somewhat ok, when uploading photos i have to do two at a time and it takes a long time for them to upload, it also kicks them off regularly (can't upload contact support) but today, none upload. I can't get any to upload at all, even restarted phone to no avail. This is not good for someone who's trying to run a business. I hate the new app...it's horrid. I miss the one that always worked. ugh
am I the only one?
I avoid the app as much as possible. I use a browser to upload photos.
You're not the only one.
Sadly, I now only use the app if I'm out and away from a desktop but something sells which needs to be renewed or a quick message to a buyer. Everything else I wait until I get back to a real browser because the app is just not worth fighting anymore. It's frustrating and sad to feel like Etsy is regressing instead of progressing.
I absolutely dread the day the "new" listing page becomes mandatory on the desktop. It's clunky and flakey - similar to the new app; I try it every time I'm forced to just to see if the issues have been fixed. When I see they haven't, I click the button to revert to the old version but I know that time is ticking down.
@livingNthepast: There are many many posts in this forum about problems with the app, including your issue. The consensus seems to be that even using your mobile browser will give you a more pleasant, efficient, and less frustrating experience than the app.
thank you so much, i'll try that!
The new app is SO SO SO awful. The last one was great. I have no clue why the made this change. Good grief it's so bad.
The old app did what it said on the the tin. This one is slow loading, asks you do things you already have in place in your shop so not intuitive, wasn't tested before roll out hence all the bugs. Is it really worth the space on your phone?
I had that problem yesterday. I usually upload square picture even before the new photo layout changes. Then I noticed for some reason I didn’t crop those to square. After I did it worked fine from the app.
