I have to manually send the digital file, it's causing frustration for both the customer and myself.
surely the check-out system shouldn't allow guest accounts to purchase digital downloads, the customer should be prompted to open an account in order to receive the digital file immediately without fuss.
or is this just a bug in my store.
I have guest buyers and they have all been able to download their items. Maybe yours are trying to download using the app.
I get guest buyers all the time and no problems. They'd just get an email with a link to download their items.
@ileaiye I've had the same problem from time to time. I agree it is frustrating for the buyer. I've also had the issue with Etsy members and it seems to go in waves. I have a few weeks with no problems, then all of a sudden I get a hand full of people who can't find their downloads.
It's probably new buyers who have never bought a digital file before, or Etsy just messing up (most likely the latter)
