gift box with multiple options

I want to offer a gift box where the customer can make select 4 different selections. What is the best way to set this up? I currently offer 12 salt options and 5 sugar options. I want the customer to be able to select 4 of these for the gift box.

Since you can only have 2 variations, you either need to make each combination a variation, or have them write in the personalization box what their 4 choices are. Since it may be a lot to write out, maybe have a photo with all the different options labeled (1=chili lime, 2=hibiscus, 3=grape, etc) and have them write in the 4 numbers that correspond to their choices.

yes, I need to rethink the way I'm offering the gift boxes. I will probably narrow it down to some specific boxes that have specific items in them. Thanks for the feedback!

I would make up various boxes with items that go together and list them as what you are suggesting is impossible on Etsy. 

Be sure to write titles using phrases you think a buyer might type into the search bar for your items to be found in search.

you should also list how you are making these, what commercial kitchen, etc. Don't know the cottage food laws in Arkansas, but I do know a great many folks in Texas that do this, and they either outsource their recipe to a local maker or use a commercial kitchen.

but as far as choices, you should set them up as fixed items.
