forced vacation mode for no reason

Jump to solution

I’ve lost count of how many forced vacation modes I’ve gotten over the course of this past year but it’s definitely over five.. i don’t violate any policies or rules but my shop is probably getting flagged since aliexpress stole a bunch of my designs. This is the worst case so far though, it’s been three days of being suspended for no reason. I’ve emailed them and sent an appeal, but I haven’t gotten a response from either. They sent me a confirmation email of my appeal with a link to the status of my help ticket but it lead me to an error page, so I don’t even know how close my case is for being checked out. I messaged them on insta as well to check out my case but they haven’t responded all day and im just a high schooler that’s stressed out with homework and studying and this is just a cherry on top for me. I never break any rules and it’s tiring to try and contact Etsy time and time again just to get no response is there anyway to make this process go quicker or just other methods of contacting etsy?

I'm sorry this is happening to you; the Forum is filled with other Sellers who have had the same thing happen to them. The fact that people do not know why this is happening (because they are not being told by Etsy), is bull. Sellers are handing over their private, sensitive information; quite frankly you don't know who has seen it (or will see it), but you do know there has been no communication. And that's wrong. When a company handles your personal information (as well as dealing with financials), it makes no sense that they can do this. So they only thing I can suggest is to respond to your initial email (instead of starting additional tickets). But it's troubling that you said your status link lead to an error page.

Some Sellers have said their Shop has been taken off Vacation, but again, they do not know why it was put on forced V. to begin with. I hope your Shop will be reinstated soon.

Thanks so much!!! I’ve been replying to the initial email they’ve sent me but to know avail :’) it’s really sad how they just suspend your shop and just ghost you for days on end
