When i try to enroll for Etsy payments it keeps saying "We could not save your bank information: Value for Account type is missing." How the heck do I fix this?
I have no idea.
Here is a link to initiate chat or email.
I have seen (on the forum) that other sellers are having the same issue. Are you trying to use Plaid? That seems to have issues.
@gengies While you're waiting, you may want to be sure what you are selling will be allowed - your shop title and Owner profile mentions "Character bracelets".
Sorry, it's off topic, but just wanted to save you some grief in case you are making things with trademarked characters like Pokemon, Spiderman, etc.
I have the same problem. I think this is also linked to customers not able to make purchases.
@Way2FurnCreations Off topic too. Maybe Etsy is investigating for reselling. Your chairs are all over the internet.
Did you find the answer to this yet?
@UniqueGiftOrnaments No I sell on multiple platforms. Those are my chairs. I didn't know I was only limited to etsy. Is there a rule against that? I make these in my shop.
@Way2FurnCreations Nope. Home depot would never have your item in their store. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stylish-and-Simple-Velvet-Fabric-Yellow-Lounge-Chair-set-of-1-M-7797-ye/...
Adding policies, your location and an about page explaining how you make the chairs might be a good idea before people start reporting your shop.
also having the same issue. wondering if it's because we tried Plaid - could also be user error on my end. love to know any ideas for help!
yeah I saw the plaid option when creating my shop I tried to use it but for some reason it wasn't working and I just left it. Then today when I went back that option was gone and then it asked me what I was gonna use to pay my fees, so I did that, but now that im trying to figure out how to choose payment methods for getting my money its doing that error thing.
Pardon for the interruption but what is Plaid? I mean I know what it is when it related to golf pants but in reference to here, I'm curious! Sorry for hijacking your thread!
@TastefulArtisan It's a new payment processor thing that Etsy is trialling with USA bank accounts.
They have to sign up with Plaid to verifying their account.
By the sounds of it, it's not going well (glitches).
@CappuccinoLace Thank you for explaining! I thought maybe I was missing out on something. Clearly I'm not! *smile*
@TastefulArtisan @CappuccinoLace
I didn't know either. Thank You for explaining, Cappuccino (I swear you know everything). Definitely n good thing if their are glitches w/ it.
I just took a quick look at Plaid and quite frankly it doesn't give me a secure warm fuzzy feeling. I think I will stay away from it.
I skipped adding the bank account in the beginning when i first signed up. I thought i could added it in later. Bad idea. Now it won't let people by my product because i have to set up payment settings. But when i go to set up payment settings it is not giving me that option anymore. So it wont give me an option to add my bank account info and neither is it letting people buy my products.
You have Etsy Payments in your shop - don't believe you can have that without having a bank account.
I have the same problem!!! NOT HAPPY! I've spent a lot of time promoting my new shop and no one is able to check out!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr
Etsy support replied back to me and they said that there is multiple people who are experiencing the same problem and they are on it. @HazelsSewingSupplies there is a glitch where I can put in my bank account information. I noticed this issue when i was messaged by the buyers saying that they couldnt purchase my item.
I am having this same issue! Never tired setting up Plaid but it is not letting me add my bank account information when I try enrolling in the Etsy Payments. When I choose a different country for my bank location, all the entry fields pop up, like account and routing number. When I click back to the US location it all disappears and won't let me enter anything!
I've never heard of Plaid until now (Cappuccino's explanation). I don't have it automatically in my Shop Payments (Etsy Payments). And after hearing about the glitches, I won't be signing up for it (although I didn't receive anything about it in the first place).
So, I tried setting up a new account and I tried Plaid with is just a service Etsy uses to link accounts.Tried it one way, didn’t work. Tried manually typing my info and still didn’t work. Looks like when setting up a new account the only way to input info is with plaid which is not working at all.
I'm sorry about that. I don't have any accounts to link, but many like yourself do.
