etsy adds 10% on when i put a sale on

when ever i try to put a sale on for 10% off, etsy adds 10% on instead, i have tried to contact etsy support oer and over but they do not respond

It doesn't add 10%.

It simply displays the price incorrectly on shop home page and search but not in the listings themselves, or when added to cart.

It's a years long bug with putting digital downloads on sale.

It displays the Sale Price (vat included) with added VAT.

There is nothing you can do. Again, it will not add 10%, and the correct price is visible on the listing and in cart. Only home page and search is affected.

@MoonHorseMagicks  I think you turned it off, since I see no sale section in your shop.  If you set up a sale, and are seeing what @CappuccinoLace  describes, where it shows in the listing but not in thumbnails  - the fix for this glitch is to deactivate * all your listings, then re-activate.  Others have reported a longer delay in having sale prices show up.  Worth a try, if that's your issue.

* You can try it with one listing first, to see if that works, then do all the rest in bulk edit.  "Deactivate" is NOT the same as "Delete" - don't delete!!  You will not be charged anything for reactivating.

@PillowDetails  Deactivating won't make a difference.

It's the VAT display bug on digital downloads that are on sale.

The OP probably ended the sale because it shows as a higher price in the shop.
