A different complaint about Star Seller than the typical ones you see here.
I received an email from Etsy earlier this morning saying "You’re a Star Seller this month – cue the confetti!".
However, my dashboard has a shop advisor notice saying
Let’s get you back on track for Star Seller
You didn’t reach Star Seller this month, but we’ll help you get back on track. Check out your dashboard for personalised tips.
I know I didn't meet the Star Seller requirements, due to insufficient sales (3 in the last 3 months) - so looks like there's a bug in Etsy's back-end that is incorrectly sending out the congratulations emails for Star Seller to sellers who didn't meet the requirements.
This isn't the first time - it happened a few months ago too, and back then, Etsy subsequently sent an apology email.
@Martybugs *Update: Today I received a notice in my Dashboard. Saying they sent me the Star Seller email by accident, and would be looking into it so this never happens again.
I had the opposite happen as I received an email to say I didn't get star seller but I obviously did as it's all over my dashboard and shop!
Yes I got that too for my other shop and I didn't qualify because not enough sales yet. I was annoyed by the false celebration lol
Yes, received this too... Just another notch in the Etsy belt of miscommunication.
@Martybugs Same thing happened to me. I wasn't supposed to have Star Seller this month. After Signing In today, there was a thing in the Dashboard that said, "You missed Star Seller this month...." In my email, I received, "Cue the confetti, you made Star Seller". Etsy can't decide if they want me to have it or not:)

@ChillwolfArt - yes, I have the same notice in my dashboard now.
But they said they would fix it last time it happened, so I'm not holding my breath...
It seems to have been a widespread glitch. My daughter's 'AltFabrics' shop also had the same thing happen. She had the more than the necessary number of sales but hadn't reached the required $ value. Oh well, maybe next month - it comes and it goes and it doesn't really seem to make any difference.
@DollHeaven - I agree. I've had StarSeller most months over the past few years, and I've found that it doesn't have a noticeable impact on visits or sales.
