Due to Royal Mail Cyber Attack I am unable to ship an order to any international destination and Etsy has removed the Etsy shipping label button (greyed out).
Therefore my question is will I be penalised (Star Seller Rating) for having an order that is 5 days overdue?
Look forward to your comments.
Yes, you will be penalised.
This is what you need to do
1. if you can't ship in your dispatch days for orders that were already taken, you can contact your customers, and agree a new dispatch date, and you can extend the dispatch date out up to 21 days, as long as it it is not overdue, and your customers agree.
2. You can ship with other shippers, transglobal have good reports here, on price and service.
3. if neither of the above, then cancel the order and fully refund.
since 7th Jan I stopped selling overseas, however, if you want to continue to sell, you either have to realise you will have to use a different shipper, or put your processing times way out, so they don't have to be shipped, until Royal Mail is back online

Yes.
You needed to change the ship by date before it was overdue, or cancel the order.
SS is automated. It simply looks at the order which is not shipped on time, and dings you.

My international orders are being delayed or lost. I ship notecards, so I use international first class stamps. and I never had trouble before. But now I am having it a lot...even Canada.
Does this strike affect my first class stamped mail?
Does that apply to post that was sent from US with international first class stamp? I sell notecards. My international mail is all screwed up and also Canada?
this post is from Jan 2023
@quilligraphy: This is an old post - if you are having a problem you start a new thread so it is not lost among the old ones.
