I noticed that my best-selling item - the black ottoman tray hasn't been selling for a couple of weeks. I did a search today and can't
find it in search. I then searched within my store ( I only have a few items), and it doesn't come up. I've heard of an entire store not being indexed, but one item? What can I do about this? Thanks.
Yeah, I can't find it when searching within your shop either.
Try deactivating it for half an hour or so. Then reactivate. I have no idea if this would work but it's worth a try.
Also check the tags for problematic words which Etsy might be suppressing. E.g. cuba, havana, certain woods I can't remember the name of.
that is weird.
Contact support via email with title "item not indexed". Include screen shots showing the listing, AND showing the search results in you own shop for "wood tray" and that black tray missing.
And then I wonder if it would be a good idea to update that listing, or make a duplicate listing with a new & improved title & images that meet etsy's image quality recommendations of 2000px minimum size on the shortest side. ???
Thank you so much. Yes, I was thinking about making a duplicate listing. I'll try all of your suggestions too.
I see it in your shop search now, when I search for “ottoman” (3 results, including the black one).
@DOKOcreations yes, I see it too (search:black). Looks like it's fixed.
Have you tried deactivating and reactivating it?
Or edit the listing to make a small change - add a space somewhere it won't be noticeable - and then republish to see if that refreshes?
I deactivated and then activated. I also edited it. Removed a pic and put the pic back on. I played with it for about a 1/2 hour and then it was indexed again. Thanks!
