Why won’t my listing post?

Hi!  Is there a reason my listing wouldn’t post?  I went thru listing it all but it said “We’re having a problem” listing try again. I tried again several times, but got the same thing!  Wouldn’t even let me save as draft! . Please let me know what to do before I go thru the whole thing of listing with variations etc.  Would it have mattered that someone interrupted me while listing it?  So there was a break in completing it.  Thanks so much!

Chrome browser. Hmm . . .  Never had an Etsy app that I know if.  Wouldn’t even know how to get it.

Have you added alt text? try removing some of the text, leaving 1 or 2 lines then click save and post

Alt text is something you can type on a picture if you want to.

Just because Etsy announced they are going to shut down the old listing format doesn't mean they have fixed all or any of the bugs in the new one.

Today I'm having the same problem.  Try renew by doing the old listing editor and it works fine.

Etsy says the old way will retire in June.  I hope the new listing is stable by then...

Thanks for your feedback!  Finally figuepred it out!  First downloaded the Etsy app.  But COULD LIST FROM THERE!! :-(. Then somehow I found and downloaded a seller app.  Sorry! Don’t remember howI found that!  But that is apparently now the only way to list things.  And I had success listing from there.

I received multiple messages saying “You listing is not published.  Contact Etsy support if you keep getting this message.”  I contacted support and they referred me to this forum.  
I’m using the sellers app.  I have several listings posted since Mar 2024.  
Not sure what to do.  Any advice?

If you're in listings and you go to the top of the page where the blue banner is, if you see the second line that says, "the old form goes away on 25 June", just click on the words "old form" and it will take you back to the old listing format.  You should be able to use that to complete your listing.
