Etsy knows they are still in transit. I list this in the technical category because it needs to be fixed.

Agreed, it does need to be fixed. I've had customers comment about it too.
That is just setting sellers up for failure. Causing customers to think something is wrong also. Thanks for pointing it out.
Exactly this.
In addition to the "estimated delivery dates" don't build any spare time in for USPS delays - whether that's a misrouted package or weather delay. Most of the country might be done with snow but that doesn't mean other interference stops for the summer. In fact, the summer months can actually be worse between wild fire smoke and hurricane season. All it takes is one grounded plane and that timeframe estimate reflects poorly on the seller.
it is causing buyers to leave a 1 star review as they are annoyed -- and comment "have not received", unfortunately they do not bother to go back and change it once received....thank you again Etsy for not looking out for your sellers
it causes needless worry for the customer and that leads to a barrage of messages from buyers who are subsequently angry or anxious or curious about why they are being hassled for a review for an item that they haven't received yet and a heap of time wasting messages to reassure buyers even though there is tracking. Receiving a customer query a day after I've sent a hat with tracking isn't setting up the transaction in a positive way for anyone.
It is past it's delivery date, so of course they can leave a review, and are prompted
Otherwise you could never leave a review saying the item was late or never received
....this is not new, etsy has always done this since I started selling here in 2014, I doubt it is on their list to be "fixed"
What? Etsy is asking my buyers to review 2 weeks before Etsy is saying my ship date is, which is giving me anxious buyers and a 1 star review
you have different shipping profiles on listings, some have 5-7 day processing time
I have several shops I’d like to review because I really like what I bought but on those it says I can’t review until April 2025!?! So there is that.
Agreed ! And I recive a one star review saying that "I haven't recived the product". I am so upset with this
