Why do I not receive notifications for New Orders?

I receive notifications for all kinds of Etsy related things but I never receive a notification for a new sale???? I'm new to Etsy and my turn around time is failing due to not being notified of sales. I do not know an order has occurred until I receive a notification saying money is being deposited. Any help with this would be Greatly Appreciated.

Never rely on auto notifications. Log into you shop a few times each day.

I usually *do* get notifications of orders - but this weekend did not. Luckily I check in fairly often, so it wasn't serious - just a glitch of some sort, it's fine this morning. But it makes me wonder why that particular hiccup? 

Either way, yes it's just a good idea to check into your shop at least a few times a day.  You'll keep on top of everything more easily. And you definitely want to know about new orders!  (was going to insert a wink, but Etsy....)

I think if you go to your profile under your icon on the main page, then account settings you can see what emails they are supposed to send to you. I you don't see  it there I would go to the help section to get in touch with Etsy.

If you get a canned response from them, keep replying to the I need more help, until you get a person to look at your request.

@LynnsLittleShop   That is only for additional emails.

The email for a sale is always sent.  Cannot opt in or out.  Also the shipping email is automatic too.

@TnMCoinRingnWoodWrks  It could be your email provider.  Are they a provider you have to accept Etsy's email address?  Other times email just doesn't work.  You can ask Etsy if they sent and chances are they will say yes and it is your email provider with the problem.

That's why it is best to check shop at least once a day.

On my dashboard the number next to orders no longer turns orange when a new order comes in, my phone sometimes dings, sometimes it doesn't. As others have said, don't rely on Etsy notifications, check your shop daily.

It isn't good for a site like Etsy letting down customers , I get every message going from Etsy but never a message to say you have an order. I have just found one from 12 days ago.

Did you look at your shop at all in those 12 days?  It’s your shop so it’s up to you to run it and check to see if you have any orders or messages.  It’s nice that Etsy lets you know when you get an order but it’s not really their responsibility to let you know what is going on in your shop. 
Wow, I just looked at your shop and it’s also your job to know what can and can’t be sold on Etsy.

These posts always makes me shake my head.  Why would you open a "store" and then not watch it?  Would you rely on your neighboring stores to let you know that someone is in your store buying something?

I would never rely on Etsy (my landlord) to run my business for me.  I opened the store and it's up to me (not my landlord) to run it and take responsibility for it.

What's so hard about logging in at least 3 or 4 times a day to see what's going on?  That way, you don't miss sales.

I have an ebay store and am notified as soon as I have a sale or a message from a customer so then I can immediately reply to the customer's message or post an item straight away. It shows good customer service.

To log in to Etsy every 5 minutes would be a nightmare.

Looking at what you’re selling, you should probably just stick to eBay.

Your items are sold in many other places. I might be wrong but I don’t think you have designed and made those items yourself.

Your items are in breach of Etsy policies on what can be sold here. I suggest you read the handbook
