I'm trying to refund part of an item price to one of my best returning customers and all that's happening is a flashing grey circle with some dots and an envelope on it and no way to get back to my shop, I've left it and it's still going, it's a complete dead page, AHH! now as I type this after opening up my shop on another new window an email has come in saying I've refunded, but why does the dead flashing page (still going) have no way of getting back to my shop?
I had found this very clear warning but a few hours too late, unfortunately.
you are smarter than I LoL, when I had the grey circle flashing for eternity, I made a second attempt so ...I refunded twice :((
Yesterday someone bought several items from me, thus bumping the shipping way beyond the actual cost. Today I did a partial refund of several pounds, and the refund has come out of my payment account, but so far I have only received a few pence back in Etsy fees. I know it's been taking a while for refunds to fully process, but it's over two hours now.
I seem to remember other sellers having a similar problem. If the page gets stuck again it's best to open a new browser tab and check your payment account.
This, someone posted some weeks ago they got the spinning wheel and thought their refund didn't go through and ending up refunding hundreds of dollars.
I had this too with a postage refund when combining orders, I hit the back button to the refund page and saw that it had done the refund.
@thewoollydog: There appears to be a coding issue with the way the process terminates. Refresh the page (<F5>) and you should see if the refund processed or not.
Just refresh the page. Most likely the refund processed, but the updated page isn’t loading.
I had the same issue yesterday. Everything was fine after reloading.
