What is happening to my shop ?

Hello 

Hi everyone,

I need some help understanding what’s going on with my Etsy shop. My shop was put on pause, but when I try to view it using the shop link, it says “This shop is currently not available” instead of showing the paused notice.

I’m confused because I thought if a shop was paused, visitors would still be able to see the shop with a message like “the seller is taking a break.” But in my case, it looks like my entire shop has disappeared from public view.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a normal part of Etsy’s pause mode? Or could there be another issue with my account that I’m not aware of?

I’d appreciate any advice or if someone from Etsy support sees this and can help check my account.

Your shop is not paused. It says you are no longer selling on Etsy.

Right, nothing comes up at all.  Sorry, it looks like your shop is gone.

Check your email inbox (including junk mail) to see if there's any communications from Etsy regarding the status of your account.

If you can still log in to your shop manager, check there for notifications or instructions.

Did you have Etsy Payments or were you using personal PayPal only for some reason?

Did you pay your latest bill?

Had you received any warnings or policy violations in the past?

Is it possible your account was hacked or you had trouble signing in?

We can't see your shop, so it is difficult to help you.  Can you give us a little more information on what type of items you were selling?  Were they handmade by you, vintage, craft supplies? Did Etsy give you any indication of why they put the shop in vacation mode (and then closed it altogether?

@w876leism8iygmlf  There are a few reasons why Etsy puts a shop on pause due to some problem.  One reason could be that there was something that needed to be reviewed, like your ID, which you didn't supply or it didn't match something else you provided.

They haven't deactivated your account completely since I can still click on your seller avatar and see your profile.  Most times when Etsy closes a shop with the ''currently not selling'' banner, they also close the seller's account. 

No one from Etsy will reply to your forum post; we are just other sellers.  But you can try contacting Etsy through Help - How to Reinstate Your Suspended Account – Etsy Help  Read through the list of reasons in that article to see if anything explains.  You can contact Support at the bottom of that page by clicking ''Still have questions? Contact Support''.
