Long-standing account now getting the error messages:

"We were unable to verify the business information you entered.

Please review your business name and any identification numbers closely, make any necessary changes, and re-submit it for verification. You’ll have two re-verification attempts, after which your account will be locked. If you continue to have trouble, please contact your local tax authority or applicable government entity, where the business is registered, for more assistance."

The business information is correct... does anyone know how businesses are verified? We are a Hong Kong business - but they don't have that listed as a country where business documents are accepted.

I also can't speak to support as we are currently "in vacation mode" - how can we get round this? I don't want to resubmit the same information and get rejected / not be able to upload business documentation....

If you go to Finances - Legal & Tax Information you can see what info is currently held and which verification documents have been verified.  You need to make sure everything matches exactly with the business documents you have provided.  You also need to add your tax information into the Additional Taxpayer Information section as Etsy is now obliged to divulge your earnings to the taxman and I think without this the verification won't go through. 

I hope it gets sorted soon.
