WHY is Etsy sending "You have a new item to review" emails ... a YEAR after the sale???

Item was purchased in July 2024. 

I was the buyer in this situation but since I'm used to Etsy's quirks it doesn't bother me too much.

However, I can't help but wonder what the 98% of Etsy shoppers who don't also sell here must think ...

It must be a glitch. I hope it's just a reminder email glitch and that a review cannot actually be made at this point.

It happened to me and I was able to leave a review. The fact I got the notification was no surprise with all the glitches, but the fact that I could actually leave a review made me wonder how many other buyers are able to do this.

is so, there is a year notification

@CraftyCornishMaids Yes, it was a download. I wasn't aware that downloads have a longer review timeframe!

Same reason why one of my postings was shown twice in a row on the app last night....I actually got up and doubled checked I hadn't goofed...definitely not on browser and my shop stats...no, just a single listing but they showed it twice!

sigh.....

for downloads, it's 100 days from when it was downloaded, or 100 days from a year after the purchase
