Opened a ticked and everything they say is that i should of got an email from etsy with the reason on why my listing is getting deactivated as soon as i publish it, but everything i get is that my listing is under review and no reason.
Tried to even copy paste other user's listing in order to meet the requirements, but got the same result.
Also tried to relist and did like 10 listing while deleting the older ones, still no luck.
Please help me as it seems like Etsy support wouldnt do that.
Do your listings meet selling requirements as outlined under their policy?
https://www.etsy.com/legal/sellers/
If so, you may have to wait to see if they reply to your ticket as to the reason why.
Without knowing what you were trying to list, no one here can help you as, for the most part, we are other sellers. Etsy is not usually specific as to the exact reason they deactivate items. They will give links to the policy violated. Deactivation is done by bots and then reviewed by humans. If it is acceptable the will reactivate it. In the meantime the actions you say you have taken like relisting the item, copying/pasting other people's listings (not even sure what that is all about) can get your shop permanently shut down. You need to wait and see what Etsy decides.
@3DThingiesBG , Do not keep posting listings if they are getting deactivated immediately. Are you getting charged for them? Check your payment account to see. Reply to the email you received. There should be a 'I still need help' button towards the bottom of the email. Keep replying to that same email. No one here can tell you why this happened.
I'm trying to sell IQOS Ashtray. Went through the support ticket convo and nothing is being said by them. So i guess ill have to wait forever to get anything as a reason.
IQOS sells tobacco products which may have set off the deactivation bots in relation to what is allowed to be sold here.
Do you have permission from IQOS to use their brand?
IQOS and Heets are both trademarked. That is probably not the problem as that would require a take down from Philip Morris Products. However, if your item is approved, do not use any trademarked words. It is illegal.
Problem solved. The issue was the presence of word tobacco in the title. Thank you everyone for your time
Oh my gosh, I just finished the post for you! Now you say it was fixed? I guess I was on the right track, but now it is a worthless post. Are you sure that it was those words and yo don't need to read my bit? lol
@3DThingiesBG As above. "IQOS" and "Heets" are both trademarked making it illegal to use those terms to sell your item(s).
I am bound by the rule that I can't talk about what has gone on with me and they are not bound by that, so I will refrain. But figure it out, I would be going to that ticket area and asking every day. It could literally be antyi9ng 9rk actually be anything you did, yet they will still continue what you can't talk about.
I just saw your other post. Maybe they have a rule against promoting cigarettes, they may just be a nonsmoking site. I haven't read that, but it is possible! Have you tried to post using an entirely different set of keywords, a new different title, and maybe a different lineup of your photos? You can't make up the title and keys to be nonrelevant to your product, but you can try to call it and list it in a new and creative way that they do not object to. I remember when I posted kinds of masks in a kit for kids. And when I posted it, the fingers that look at your listings, put a warning up, for me or my visitors, I am unsure, that masks listed on Etsy could not guarantee anything or make claims. ... But that is because their auto fingers thought the masks were face masks for Covid prevention.
The auto-finger things are nicer and give you hints, even though they allowed my pages with masks, I thought their way of telling me what was up, was much better than guessing. Had I intended to promise a mask miracle, for Covid, I could not have posted them and been happy to un-post it. It is a mystery sometimes, I have been there, but you can figure it out, it is tough for anyone here to guess without being there and reading your stuff, but it can also be sort of fun in a way to figure out what they are not saying, rewarding when you do too. You should at least try and then let us know what happened... that would be fun for me anyway
What are auto fingers?
Either a translation error or text substitute prank on the users' phone!
You are using the word "IQOS".
https://trademarks.justia.com/880/69/iqos-88069707.html
It is TRADEMARKED by a famous tobacco product company.
Did you pay for legal licensing to use it for your commercial products??
FYI relisting items that have been deactivated by Etsy can get your shop permanently banned.
Tobacco is still in the description. IQOS, Heets and Glo are all trademarked.
When they deactivate a listing, they are supposed to review it within 10 days and reinstate it if it was ok. But sometimes they don't do that. If you haven't had your item reinstated after 10 you will have to contact them about it, period. There are a whole bunch of words that are automatically banned by bots, who often get it wrong. If it was for trademark infringement, they won't allow it. If it was copyright infringement, they should tell you who filed the complaint so you can contact them directly.
What specifically were you trying to list and what was your title?
IQOS is trademarked, so your picture is a problem as Etsy now uses picture recognition when screening for counterfeit and disallowed items.
Also illegal in the US, if you have US in your shipping profile.
well, in addition to the trademark, it looks like IQOS is also illegal in the US. Etsy being US based, I'm not surprised you listings got taken down immediately.
British American Tobacco (BTI 0.30%) sued Philip Morris before the U.S. International Trade Commission, which agreed that IQOS infringed on British American patents.
