You are , or about to be  SCAMMED! Why would you need to deposit money to receive money--that does not even make any sense!

IF you gave these SCAMMERS any financial information contact your bank and credit card providers immediately

It's a scam.

Genuine messages from Etsy will appear in the 'from Etsy' folder of your message inbox (check using a browser).

You're NOT corresponding with Etsy. It's a scammer.

No where on the help pages does it state YOU have to have money in your bank account to get verified on Etsy.
That makes NO sense at all.
You're about to be scammed out of your money. 

If you give those crooks your bank/cc info, they will STEAL your money and doubtful you'll get it back.
DO NOT reply. MARK as SPAM.

There's a gazillon posts on these forums about these scammers. There should have been a WARNING box on your message page, there's info on the help pages on these scams PLUS info on what is needed to get verified and how to get paid here.

That is a scam.   Etsy does not request funds upfront for a shop.

Simply mark the message as spam.
