It's a scam.

Etsy don't need to ask for your email address - they already have it.

Don't send your email address, and don't send your bank details either.

Mark the message as spam and ignore it.

Re: Verification from Etsy it’s truth or not

It's a scam. Only legitimate Etsy messages are (on the computer, not the app) in the "From Etsy" folder and the message is marked with a yellow "from Etsy" label. Any other message is a scam, and mark these as SPAM. They want to get your bank details and steal your money. Never give your email, never click a link in those messages or scan a QR code.

Re: Verification from Etsy it’s truth or not

Probably a scam. A verification from Etsy would be in a banner on your dashboard or in your "message from Etsy" folder ( you can't see that folder via the app) If not there..scammer. Etsy HAS your email. They would not ask for it.

Re: Verification from Etsy it’s truth or not

It's probably a scam. They are phishing for your financial information and will drain your bank account.

First, look at the message on a computer or browser and see if it's in the "from etsy" section of your inbox (not on the app). If not, it's FAKE. All real messages from etsy will be there.

When/if etsy needs any ID or financial info from you, there will be a notice on your dashboard, not by messages or email.

Read the forums and familiarize yourself with common scams. They prey on new shops, knowing that you don't know how etsy works.
