Hello everyone Im new here in this site and I received e-mail asking for my email verifications and my account is saying temporarily suspended I’ve been sending multiple times and it didnt went through is this a scam?

Yes, it's a scam. The reason you can't respond is because etsy already identified them as scammers and deleted their account.

Read through the forums and familiarize yourself with common scams.

All real messages from etsy will be in the "from etsy" section of your inbox. Check on a computer or browser (not the app).

It looks like others had the same scam message that I receiced. I checked ETSY messages and it was not there. I quicky marked it as SPAM. The rext of the message is below.......

Hello, this is your Etsy Staff employee speaking with you

Due to an update to our payment system and global security update, order processing for your account is currently suspended!

You will need to identify your store. As soon as this is done, it will be back up and running normally. Please fill out this form to verify your store:

I've received three of these types of emails just today.    I marked each one spam.  Frustrating.

Scam.  Did your read the message Etsy has posted on messages?  If using the app, also sign into a browser because the app lacks some things.

Thankfully you nice folks are recognizing this as a scam.

What I don't understand is since these scams ALL start out with the premise that the shop is "cancelled", "suspended", "closed", etc  why do these sellers who fall for this just take that for granted that it is true. All one has to do is click on the shop and if it is there then it is NOT suspended. That seems a pretty simple first step to take. So why do so many believe that statement???
