Variation pics are mysteriously disappearing..

So, for the past few months, I have to keep re-adding photos, linking variations, to many of my listings. The photos will stay linked for a couple-few days and then I see someone purchases some items and only the first listing photo shows up on the order. Then I check the listing and see the photos are mysteriously "un-linked" in the variation section. At first I thought I didn't hit "apply" or save the listing to publish it correctly (cuz I have done that before), but I make sure now and check to make sure the pics show up. I have a bunch of listings with a lot of variations, so I want the photo of the items to show up when someone clicks on the variation they choose. This happens without me doing any edits or anything, just seems random.

This happens to me too - Been happening for years. Goodness knows how many sales I’ve lost because customers don’t know what the choices are.
A few times a customer has alerted me. The problem does seem to be at the renewal point- particularly when it auto renews after a sale. I have admitted defeat and started to add numbers to my variations so at least if the photos are unlinked the number is still there.

Is there any fix in the works for this? I am having to edit listings almost everyday, to link the photos again and again and again... Any chance this can get looked into? I would be eternally grateful!
