Vacation mode

Jump to solution

Hi, I'm a new seller, so maybe this is a stupid question. I just got my first order, and handled it right away. Ever since, my shop went into vacation mode. It now still is in vacation mode to let me 'complete my orders'. There is no button where I can turn this off, and I have seen that this might stay for weeks. There is no reason for my shop to stay in vacation mode, so I would love to know how I could turn it off/it would go away.

Has Etsy verified your ID? Check your email inbox (including junk mail)

Have you set up and verified your bank account for deposits?

Have you added a valid payment card for paying fees/refunds?

Contact Etsy. It may be due to bank account verification.

Your sale is for a postcard, the image of which was taken from a game.

If you do not have a licence to reproduce the games images then it would appear that you are in breach of Trade Mark infringement rules. That might explain why Etsy have temporarily placed your shop in vacation mode whilst they investigate whether your products do indeed breach TM rules or not.

Etsy is a classed as a venue,  hence it is the shop owners (your) responsibility to ensure that your goods are legally allowed to be sold by you. If Etsy find that this is not the case, they can and usually do close the shop and permanently ban the shop owner as a result.
