Unable to install etsy seller app!

Thanking in advance anyone that can help me!

I tried to update the seller app and was not able to. So I uninstalled and tried to reinstall it. No such luck.

I updated my phone (galaxy flip 4). Still no luck. Tried installing through etsy app, nothing doing. 

Looked for help in several sites, have been trying for several hours to resolve this, even updates for all apps, but will have to resume this overnight!

Anyone else running into this? My shop is in vacation mode until tomorrow, but I'm kind of dead in the water right now!

First - can you clarify?  You install / update thru the Google play store.

I've seen a few other posts about this, and I'll ask the same questions - 

Where, at what post, are you running into issues?

Is it at the Google site, and never finishes loading?

Why did you feel the need to update in the first place?  If you were having issues before, that could be the root of your problem, and it may be your phone (which doesn't seem that old, so I'm not sure what is going on.)

I have a much older phone, and can't recall ever needing to do updates - I think it's automatic?

* Just checked my phone and it's showing Version 1.69.0

Checking the Google store, it's showing the same as the latest version, and that it was updated on May 16th, 2024 - so I'm SURE it's automatic for me on my phone

I installed the app thru Google Play. I was not able to access the original app without updating. When I clicked on "update", it appeared to update normally, but then it reverted back to play store to install the app. I tried to install and the same thing happened.

This morning, I logged into my laptop and I have no access to Store Manager...I tried to contact the Help Center. Requested a code to receive help, crickets. Requested again, more crickets.

My shop was on vacation over the holiday weekend, and was supposed to open this morning. It is still on vacation. I have no access to my shop. 

I am a star seller. I am beyond frustrated.

Replying here, instead of your other thread @MinnesotaSewn 

When you talk about the "original app" did you mean the Sell on Etsy app with the orange logo?  That one is discontinued,  and you need the Etsy Seller app with the blue icon.

You are unable to access your shop manager on laptop?  Do you have more than one account / login?  Because once you sign into Etsy with your Seller login, you should see the Shop Manager icon.

Just in case you have more than one login, and your laptop is automatically logging you into your non-seller account - here is your profile page from your shop -

You can see your user name is "Minnesotamema" - make sure that is how you are logging in, and what should show on your profile.

@PillowDetails  - When I click on the link in your post I'm led to a page titled Deb. Then I see the shop MinnesotaSewn. 

The user name shown on the OP's shop they're posting from shows Deb Stano.

Yet I do see where the url shows MinnesotaMema if I click on their avatar photo & go to their 'about' page.

@JMOldeVintage   Yes - Deb is the Screen name, which can be changed any time - the USER name in the URL is the Min-Mema which can never be changed, and is uniquely associate with her account for her shop.

She could have other account profiles that say Deb too.  We'll find out!

@MinnesotaSewn   That shows in the URL of your profile page linked to your shop.  When you go to Etsy to log in, your USER name is MinnesotaMema - maybe you were logging in with your email or some other way.  I know it can be automatic when you haven't done it manually for a while.  Hopefully, you remember your login password.

@PillowDetails  - I date back to the time where you could choose your user name. So I did & of course when I opened shop 6 months or so later I never thought to change anything. My user name was/became my shop's screen name.

Though I thought you could log into your shop using the email associated with the shop & then of course your password? 

Maybe the OP should try that using a laptop? Or the browser on their phone? Especially since it appears they're having issues trying to download the app, much less sign in & use it.

Oh yay!  She reopened her shop!  I hope she comes back to let us know how it went!

@JMOldeVintage in her other thread, she mentioned not being able to access her shop manager on laptop, which makes me think it may have been a case with more than one account - and automatic logins.

This was happening to me and I finally found a comment from Etsy developers on the Seller App in Google Play Store: You need to uninstall the old Sell On Etsy app (the orange one) then you will be able to install the new one. 

I did this and it finally worked! Check to see if your phone still has that old seller app installed and uninstall it!

I don't know if this applies to everyone, but this is how I fixed mine, and was able to download the app this morning.

I still had an old Sell on Etsy app on my phone. Apparently, the package of that application conflicts with the new update. So I uninstalled the older version (this isn't the version with the blue logo, rather it had the orange and white colors of Etsy). So I removed it and was able to download the update from Playstore without any issues.

I couldn't understand why you were being prompted to update to begin with - maybe it was the conflict of still having the old app?
