URGENT - Variation Quantities Disappearing

If I open a listing variation quantities disappear. No edits need to be made. Just opening the listing makes them disappear. For example I have 9 variations and 10 available on each. Now those are gone and the item has 90 available. **This requires me to do a complete re-inventory of all items on any listings I have updated.**

Can you give us an example of one of the listings this is happening to, so we can tell you what we see on our end?

This (losing inventory numbers) is one of my biggest Etsy fears, especially since my numbers would sync to other venues, and cause those numbers to be incorrect as well.

all my earring listings, patten quantities should vary, some would be sold out.

I looked at three listings (matryoshka, polar bears and assorted children's earrings) and they seem to have different quantities for the different styles. So my guess would be that, as long as you don't edit the listing and save it, your actual quantities may be correct, even if the listing manager is glitching. At least, that's what I hope is happening.

@stargazinglily On that listing I see the white bunny/blue bow as sold out, while all the other options are showing as available to purchase, and I can add a quantity of 5 to cart (for example, for the chocolate donut).

Thank you for your help adorabilities. I really appreciate your time responding and checking. It was like the midas touch gone wrong. Anything I opened the variation quantities disappeared. I logged out of everything and logged back in and it's not happening anymore. However this doesn't answer why it happened and how to prevent it from happening again. So until I can reinventory everything, i'm putting in small quantities so nothing oversells. *sign* Thanks again!

My customers complained they can only buy one Pull. The Quantity drop down menu doesn't pop up and give them any option to buy more. It just isn't there even though I have variations for each size pull. I even added a new pull and the same thing happened.  No one at Etsy has fixed this problem. No wonder my sales are down. For how long?  The knobs don't have this problem, just the Pulls. UGH!

I have the very same problem, but with prices in variations (I have different prices for each option). If I open the listing in Manager, the "Prices vary" is off and the menu shows no different prices. The issue is from about a week and obviously affects recently edited listing with 2 variation menus. I spend the entire day today to add manually all the prices in about 50 listings with 70 variations. 

It seems like something went wrong with the customization of the variations, as the same problem appears with different quantities, not just prices. Hopefully they fix it soon, because this is a piece of work.

I have also had the same problem. I've went through the Etsy Chat Bot and the issue was supposed to be transferred to "the team in charge" but I haven't heard back from them yet (it's been 7 hours) so I had to re-inventory all my listings that had a variation and the quantities were different.

I am having the same issue, when I renew , or edit a listing all my prices becomes the same for all options. I contacted etsy support and they told me to sign out and sign back in but this is not fixing the issue.  has anyone heard back from etsy?

I’ve been having the same problem recently with the quantities vary toggle becoming unchecked and just showing the total quantity instead of quantity for each variation on certain listings. I do have a help request into Etsy support. They got back to me once but their suggestions didn’t work so I’m waiting to hear from them again. So annoying!

My Quantity drop down menu isn't working when my customer wanted to buy many pulls.  They just disappeared!!  I'm sure I have lost many customers because of this and could be why my sales have been awful!  I have different prices for the length of the pull and when I go in, no quantity drop down menu is popping up. 

I would love to know how to correct this.  My shop is UneekGlassFusions.etst.com

It's all of the PUlls!  The knobs are fine.  ???

@UneekGlassFusions: Etsy has hidden the quantity dropdown on listings for items with a base price of over $20.00 for a very long time. Multiple quantities can only be selected once in the cart.

I never heard of this. Almost 20 years of selling on Etsy. My knobs are over $20.00 and they show a drop down menus for quantity.
