Two accounts, same IP address.

Hello. I hope you all are having a good day.

I have a question, my sister is visiting me soon and she does have an Etsy account too.

We both are sellers on Etsy but we sell different products, she sells digital portraits and I sell shirts.

I have read that our stores could get suspended or something because Etsy may think we are the same person due to the IP address.
Is there something I can do to avoid this or is this true? I will appreciate any kind of help.

If either one of you does something to get your account suspended then it could affect the other site because of IP addresses are matched.  

If you are concerned I would have her use her mobile app or use her mobile phone as a hotspot.  Do not use your wifi for her phone.

Etsy uses many more "behind the scenes" methods to link "problematic" Shops. IP address is just one of many factors. I have used WIFI all over the world, and shared IP addresses with other Shops at times, with no issue.

@CarpetCollectionAU , is quite correct. That's why I said could.  However, lately, Etsy is using a lot of bots and tech is not getting back to people. 

So, If people are concerned it is always better to be safe than sorry later.

Just look today at the bots they are going a little crazy with the medical claims and drug paraphernalia.

Always follow your first mind with your store.
