Translate on the forums doesn't work for me?

As subject, if I click translate on a forum post in another language nothing happens and I can't read it. Not a big deal in the scheme of things as I can translate them elsewhere by C&P but it's annoying and not working as it should. I have tried clearing cookies etc, using laptop and not the app.

Same for me.  It's annoying - and it means I simply don't read or reply to any posts in other languages.

Using chrome, I just right click and hit translate, and chrome does it for me.

That's what I do if I'm on my Mac. If I'm on my iPhone, it's a pain and I just scroll past

I did discover that it does work if your language option is set to "US English" but not if it is set to "UK English" -- but I speak English not American!

Change your language setting to US English and then the translate tool will work. 

Settings > Preferences > Language > Save

Yet another example  of Etsy being  US_centric.

Why should we have to use US English when we speak British English ????

And if UK English is not supported, why is it offered as an option ?

It's never worked for me either, but I will try setting my language to US English.

Translate this.  Worked for me but that is the only thing that does.  If I ask Edge to translate as that pops up for me, it doesn't work

For me the translate works if I use the translate link but if I allow Edge to translate then it doesn't work.  I use Edge.  Haven't tried on Chrome.
