The start seller tab says that two of my orders are missing tracking information. I checked both orders and they both have tracking numbers that correctly link to the carrier. Can you please confirm how to fix this?
Thanks,
Melissa
I am seeing the same thing. Etsy says I have three orders without tracking. All of my orders have tracking. I am hoping it is just a blip in the system that will update later.
Guys, file a report with Etsy about this. Read about my experience here
@WesleyBlake22@GroundZeroCreations: We have noticed an increasing lag over the past several days in the shipment status updates and tracking number verification / validation. Every day we have several "shipped without tracking" orders (although every package we ship is scanned before we mark the order as completed), then the next day those are okay and there are are new orders not properly updated. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to which orders are not updated. We have also noticed a substantial increase in delays (or outright failures) of subsequent shipment status updates such as 'Delivered".
@BagmakerSupply In my case it seems that the system is saying I have an order without a processing time which cannot happen as that is a mandatory field. There is a glitch in the system and Etsy seems to have zero interest in running it down.
I have racked my brain trying to figure this out. When I download the Star Seller stats everything looks perfect. But the system is saying something different in the ranking. The only thing I can think of that is different that makes me wonder if it is having an effect is that I had one order that Etsy had assigned two shipping labels to. It all fit into one package so two labels were not needed so I deleted the extra label. Now I am wondering if deleting an unneeded label may be throwing a kink into the system.
Thank you for all of your replies. I am new to selling on Etsy but after reading your comments it does not sound like Etsy has a consistent system in place to fix these issues or report a problem to get it fixed. Is that correct?
@WesleyBlake22 You can certainly report an issue on Etsy. The problem is that basically all you will get back is "we are looking at it" but nothing seems to get fixed. It hasn't always been that way. Many years ago Etsy and their technical team were responsive to sellers and the issues surrounding technical glitches.
To me, things began a steep decline after Etsy hired the former CEO of eBay. The track to make Etsy competitive with Amazon is its downfall. Etsy isn't Amazon and hasn't got a fraction of the online traffic that Amazon has. Amazon gets billions of views while Etsy only gets millions. Frankly, with this track in mind, I expect Etsy will be opening up the platform for retail sales of any kind in the not so distant future. They want to be just like Amazon.
Im also having this issue with processing times, it happened to 52 orders in August and caused me to lose star seller for September. It seems to be a known issue and sounds like it won't be looked into unless more people report the issue
