Is there no shame???? Etsy Safety Team my azz!!
Etsy has never addressed messages to "Dear Seller".
I have noticed however, many threads from a country that starts with "I", start that way. Just an observation.
This has been all over Etsy for 2-3 months now. They usually target brand new sellers who are vulnerable and are less familiar with Etsy’s policies and procedures. Sadly, a lot of new sellers have fallen for this scam and lost money.
Just got this myself, slightly different.
I got soooo excited that I'd managed to make my first ever sale then I read all the messages and all the sparkle vanished.
Came in here to confirm what I already knew.
Very thankful I went and bought myself some peanut M&Ms yesterday to drown my sorrows in lol.

I got one a few days ago with minor changes to the OP's message. It had a blue banner across the top that said from Etsy staff. Scammers are getting very clever.
So in the space of less than an hour I got another one saying:

Got the same message

I got two similar messages in my new shop from Etsy Support, I think. I just put them in 'Spam'. Scammers on Etsy? Whatever next?
