4 weeks ago I wrote on the forums that there was a bug and none of my customers could checkout. After a lot of fighting with admin to get them to understand the bug, the technical team fixed it and was very apologetic. HOWEVER, 2 weeks later the bug is BACK!
I am able to check out of your shop. Perhaps it was a temporary glitch?
Happening for the 3rd time now. No amount of free listing from etsy are going to cover the amount of business I have lost from this. The first time they apologised massively and gave 250 free listings. Second time ignored me with no response from tech team and now it has started again last night

It's happening again. The 3rd time! And all I get is canned responses from Etsy. No help at all. Why, just why is this happening to me

I know other sellers had this issue, too, and I had hoped Etsy resolved it for everyone who was having this issue.
I got that awful message when trying to check out an item:
There was a problem with your order. Please try again.
Thank you so much for trying. I was one of the first sellers affected. Etsy just will not resolve it. For it to happen the 3rd time is frustrating

i had this bug before .. oh i hope it will not be back again .. it was a NIGHTMARE
I can't believe this is happening to me for the third time. Can't help but think they are doing it on purpose now. I'm losing sleep over it. It is a nightmare
It is now day 3 and buyers still cannot complete their purchases. 3 days without sales. If i speak to chat admin they close the previous ticket and open a new one. I'm now on my 4th ticket! They don't care about helping
that awful!!
@LylaSupplies it's probably best to stick with one ticket, although I understand trying to find someone at Support that can actually help.

The problem is the ticket they told me to use is not showing in the help requests section

I am so sorry this is happening to you again, and that you are not getting any help from Etsy to resolve.
I checked, and I still get that message: "There was a problem with your order. Please try again."
yeap everything is just a sticking plaster with the Etsy fix, i really hope they sort it out soon for you and its a proper fix this time.
So, with a bit of trail and error and suggestions from a fellow seller. We found a temporary fix to the checkout bug.
The bug seems to be connected to the shops set currency. If my shop currency is set in Euro it allows my buyers to check out. If my shop is in USD (my preferred choice) it will not let buyers check out at all.
My shop was set as USD and that is why nobody could purchase. We should be able to run our shops in our preferred currency but now etsy will only allow me ti run my shop allowing buyers to purchase if set as Euro
As I do not wish to loose anymore sales, Euro is the only option to continue. I'm hoping etsy will fix the bug but at least this is a temporary fix.
