The Project

Most likely have missed discussions on this because I don’t go to Forums often. My shop was a participant in the “project”.Recently, I read the closing summation, And was left with the feeling that I missed the opportunity to benefit from it. I never was real clear on what it involved. At one point an increase in views occurred gradually over several days to A rather high number on one day and then a tapering off over a few days back down to my normal Single digit amount. I wish I could Learn how My shop might benefit from this experiment.

Re: The Project

I think OP may be talking about an etsy experiment or test that they were a part of beta testing? Perhaps the recently ended listing title optimization one (or something like that) that others have posted about in the past few days. The one where they sent everyone the same generic summation email.

Re: The Project

Now I understand what happened because I have small numbers I only have 75 things in my shop. Then one day I had 297 views and many visits. I wondered what happened. No sales at all though. I am trying to figure out what to do about my shop here. I use flat rate shipping envelopes that Etsy sells me for $8.60 but I can only charge $5.99 shipping. I was already to start selling these beautiful coats I have been collecting all summer but 6.00 won't pay shipping on a cashmere coat. I know you can raise the price of the item to absorb shipping but it feels icky to me. Maybe make it free shipping and raise my prices is the only option etsy takes 6.5 % of everything anyway and maybe customers won't think its cheesey. What was THE PROJECT?
