Hello Everyone,
My account was temporarily limited to access for protection 9 days ago,
I requested assistance 3 times and Etsy Safety&Trust Team Member reached out to me,
She asked 6 questions and requested to answer for immediate assistance,
I answered the questions immediately in 2 hours after she sent me this email,
It has been 7 days past after my reply and I did not receive any assistance,
There is no communication or reply to my emails,
I sent her 4 emails as a reminder,
I have lots of orders and messages waiting and their shipping due are past already,
I tried everything to solve this issue and I have no idea what to do in this point,
If anyone can assist me on this, really appreciated,
Thank you
I think you may have been scammed, get in touch with Etsy as soon as possible. I hope I’m wrong.
Hi AllsFairyVintage,
There is no scamming exist. Also, I have made lots of sells after the limitation.
Etsy Trust and Safety Team Member told me this limitation is for temporary for protection, but there is nothing happening.
Its been 9 days and all orders shipping due are past.
I do not receive any reply or assistance.
I do not even know what to do
I received a similar email saying my account had been limited. I checked my account and it was fine. They asked me those same questions, that seemed fishy to me so I ignored it, just changed my password and am fine. I suspect it was a sophisticated scam. Again, I hope I’m wrong.
Etsy Trust & Safety Team member asked me these 6 questions for ID verification 2 days later on my account was limited.
Also, I know the email address they are connecting me from, so there is no doubt on this
Also, I am unable to change my password. As they said, they locked the account temporarily for protection.
I can access your shop and put things into my cart. Are you saying that you are locked out of your shop and unable to process orders?
I have been receiving orders since this sign in problem exist. Also, I can communicate with my customers through email.
The only issue is, I am unable to sign in to account because Etsy Safety Team locked the account temporarily for protection.
Also, I am receiving the all payouts made by customers.
I am still waiting for the access to account.
Unless your shop is inoperable right now, I would say this is a scam. Especially if they asked you questions about your identity that could be used in identity theft.
Did you click on a link in an email? Did you give them your password? This sounds very odd to me.
Did you send a separate email to trust and safety, or did you respond to the message they sent to you?
I replied back to same email address.
I replied 4 times in 4 different days
Be honest, you were'nt doing something that you should not have been doing by any chance, if it was not you then looks like someone else has, just look at your admirers if there not legit then i'm not surprised Etsy have put limits on your account for "your protection".
Actually, only I can access my account with my devices
Also, I have many years of experience on this platform, so I know who is scam or not.
I know the Etsy Trust & Safety Teams special email address with their special id numbers on the email addresses.
I want to add that to clarify, Etsy Trsut & Safety Team never ask you specific numbers - passwords like your ssn - card numbers. The question they asked only for verification and not specific. The questions about the store and orders I received from customers, so do not worry about the scamming issue.
There is no scamming situation is exist. Just a suspicious log in detected as they said 2 days later I opened request 2 times.
what happened in the end? I am going through this now and it’s very very frustrating
