Technical problem of advertising campaign for the sale of our Men's Vintage Haori & Kimono

Topic of discussion:Is there a Technical problem of advertising campaign for the sale of our Men's Vintage Haori & traditional Japanese Kimono?

Hello

we urgently need your help !

we are working and activating to offer our customers rare and authentic Men's Vintage Haori and Traditional Japanese Kimono high quality, black silk with samurai family crest Kamon, good condition fully made and shipped from Japan
Two weeks ago we started an advertising campaign and increased our daily budget, to obtain more visibility. Unfortunately to date we find that our Men's Vintage Haori and kimono are not visible in priority in the search results with the tag "Vintage Men's haori" in relation to advertisements for Chinese Haori cardigan kimono jacket without advertising.we have already requested Etsy support,to date we see no change and improvement. Moreover with Etsy advertising our sales have not increased. We would like to know the reason. Are we the victim of a technical problem? For the satisfaction of our customers, using Etsy's advertising campaign, how can our Men's Vintage Haori and Kimono be more visible and increase our sales? ?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards

There are a lot of factors in search besides advertising. They include having Shop Policies and an About page. You don't have any policies (which will hurt you in the case of a dispute with a buyer) and your About page is only photos. You need to address this.

Then there are titles and tags. Some of your titles are too long and repetitive. Your tags are *highly* repetitive and also too short (they should be 2-3 words) which means you are wasting the "real estate" Etsy is giving you to promote your listings. You need to learn how to use a wide range of phrases that actual buyers might use to search for something like your items. For example, on the traditional black silk kimono, you could use tags like:

souvenir of Japan

Japanese warrior

martial arts robe

karate gift

men's satin bathrobe

samurai cosplay

judo costume

traditional kimono

Showa period

vintage loungewear

evening wear

antique military

Kurosawa film

Yuzuru Hanyu Sensei

length 52 inches

Note that tags don't have to be 100% like your item - some can be slightly off because buyers interested in satin robes (for example) might consider a silk robe. Or maybe some Yuzuru Hanyu fans might like a traditional Japanese robe.

Your shop also has something odd going on with respect to languages. Buyers should see your page in their language only if you use Etsy auto-translate, but I am seeing your page in both English and French. I read French so it's no matter to me but some buyers will be unable to read some of your text and it might make your shop look less professional to them.

Feel free to ask more questions - we want to help. Good luck!

Hope this helps.

To echo the poster above, NEVER use single word tags  - they are too short to be useful and are a waste of space that can be utilized by 2 - 4 word tags.

DO NOT REPEAT words in your titles or tags.  Again, they are a waste of space, as the search engine draws from ALL of your tags to match the customer's searched phrase.  You don't need both "Japanese" and "Japanese clothing"

BE LITERAL.  Someone may not know what a Momen Samue is, but they might look for a "blue Asian jacket", or a "boxy wrap coat", or a "light cotton robe".  What size is the item ("Mens Size L XL", "Kimono Chest 42")?  Colour ("Indigo Blue Jacket")?  Shape ("Boxy Oversized")?  Does it have a certain pattern ("water koi fish", "pink cherry blossom", "Red Black Daruma")?  Is it for a certain time of year or festival? ("Summer Solstice", "Fall Autumn Festival")

Also, think about what the Western market might call these items.  "Anime Cosplay Outfit", "Girl's Geisha Costume", "Shonen Manga Style".  It might not be perfectly accurate, but it is what your customers might be familiar with.

Invest time learning how the search engine works and how to tailor your items accordingly:
