Tech Issues When Revising a Listing

1. I have never accepted offers on my items, however, some of my items show as accepting offers. The GLITCH is, the option of does not accept offers doesn't work. I have to look at the listings showing, then go into the listing and manually turn it off. This is frustrating!

2. Also I always manually renew, however, again some of my listings have the auto-renew selected. I have to pay close attention to this when I'm updating the listing as it appears to switch to auto-renew as I'm saving out of the listing page.

Don't know what's going on with these tech issues. I discovered them as I was preparing and updating items for the sale I have running now.

@CreativeHappenstance  You should contact Etsy support to let them know. If you have a screenshot that will help. It may be a bug.

They are bugs. Etsy really has issues with their coding/programming like messing up thumbnails for no reason then switching them back. I once spent forever resizing many thumbnails only to find them corrected before I could get them all done. This should not be an issue sellers have to deal with. So now when the thumbnails whack out, I just ignore it because eventually they’ll go back to the right size. Problem is it makes our shops look wonky when it happens.

I always go into editing options  on my listings and choose to keep all on manual.  I do this once a month or so.  This issue has been around forever and likely is not going away.

As to the other, it seems that when Etsy is doing anything behind the scenes it is changing that section to being on.  I just checked mine and they were on.  I'm going through and turning them off.  I don't know if it will stay or not.  I am not using that section right now and had turned it all off for all listings but it's gotten turned back on.  Oh well......another thing to watch for. 

Update:  Just to add I went through listings I had just changed and published only to check and it checkmarked it back that I am accepting offers.  Sounds like a glitch behind the scenes.

Thanks I’m glad it’s not just me. Thought I was loosing it! Like the “manual” renew settings—I’ve always used it and to find some listings switched to “auto” was a surprise. Same with the OFFER option! Give me a break Etsy…your programming/coding is messed up. Just more work for the sellers when it shouldn’t be necessary.
